General Notes: By 1900 Samuel King was back in Australia and according to a history by his granddaughter ELizabeth Duff, was in charge of salvage of the Magnat off Gippsland Coast at that time. His brother in law Richard Harding Butler was also a partner. Noted events in his life were: • He appeared on the census in 1891 in Rookhay Farm, Bowerchalke With Parents In Law. RG12 1623 f85 p15 • No Name: 1900, Australia. Samuel married Florence Mary Butler, daughter of Henry Butler and Mary Yeoman Harding, on 29 Apr 1890. (Florence Mary Butler was born on 1 Aug 1865 in Pensford, Somerset.) |
