He was found in the stream by a footpath leading to Westbarn Farm. It was supposed, that he fell into the stream by accident and drowned.

• He was baptised on 5 May 1782 in Witham Friary, Somerset.

• No Name: 1829, Butler's Farm, North Brewham.

John married Jane Beaumont on 25 Jun 1804 in Brewham, Somerset. (Jane Beaumont was born about 1783 and was buried on 31 Mar 1811 in Brewham, Somerset.)

John next married Ann Brown on 21 Oct 1811 in Brewham. (Ann Brown was born about 1789 in Penwood, Dorset, died on 5 Aug 1855 and was buried on 9 Aug 1855 in Witham Friary, Somerset.)
